Translated article Bulgarian school has entered EU By old Bulgarian custom, with bread and honey, the students from ‘’ Bratia Peter i Ivan Kanazirevi ‘’ Secondary school welcomed pupils and teachers from Poland, Germany, Finland, Cyprus and Greece in Razlog. Thus the three-year international educational project “Knowledge builds bridges” started. The project is within the frame of Socrates Comenius programme-the largest educational programme of the European Community. “ The aim of the project is to build bridges to other parts of Europe in order to overcome cocooning, prejudices and narrow-mindedness and to widen the participants' horizons and strengthen their sense of belonging to European Community. These bridges will be built by investigating the own traditions and learning about the cultural heritages of the participating partners”, says the headmistress of the school Mrs. Mariana Popadiina. The guests were impressed by the talented Bulgarian children, their knowledge and fluency in English. Dressed up in colourful national costumes of the partner countries the students from ‘’ Bratia Peter i Ivan Kanazirevi” Secondary school retold fairy-tales, myths and legends preserved the wisdom through the ages.
