Fototext: "A U.S. Ninth Army soldier conducts two German women past the row of corpses to show them the work of their SS troopers. The corpses are those of 71 Russians, including about 50 women, who are said to have been murdered and than buried in mass graves. American Military authorities ordered German civilians to march past bodies of atrocity victims, which appeared to have been beaten with heavy instruments, and then the bodies will bei buried in individual graves."
